LUTHER VANDROSS R.I.P

LUTHER, WE MISS YOU.

Luther Vandross was one of the most successful R&B artists of the 1980s and '90s. into 2000. Not only did he score a series of multi-million-selling albums containing chart-topping hit singles and perform in sold-out tours in the U.S. and around the world, but he also took charge of his music creatively, writing or co-writing most of his songs and arranging and producing his records. He also performed these functions for other artists, providing them with hits as well. He was, however, equally well known for his distinctive interpretations of classic pop and R&B songs, reflecting his knowledge and appreciation of the popular music of his youth. Possessed of a smooth, versatile tenor voice, he charmed millions with his romantic music.

News.
Kelly Rowland -- one of the founding members of the pop music super group Destiny's Child -- is safe and sound and currently in Los Angeles .A rumor circulating last weekend that Kelly was in involved in a tragic accident in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia , is simply not true. Kelly's scheduled concert in Jakarta was canceled following a bombing in the capital city. Kelly was in Singapore at the time and flew from there to Los Angeles .Kelly extends her warm thank you to her fans for their concern but wants everyone to know she is well and doing fine.

Keep up to date.

Listen to my interview with Mary J

It's a pretty good time to be Mary J Blige right now. The RnB singer is the toast of hip hop after leading the way in next year's Grammy awards with eight nominations, two ahead of her nearest challenger the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Just earlier this week the 35-year-old picked up nine gongs at the Billboard music awards, but it is the nods for the Grammies that will keep her smiling up until the Los Angeles ceremony on February 11th.
