Hollywood Nights, I got the name from a Rob Strong gig I attended he used to do a cover version of Bob Seagar's Hollywood Nights. I was DJ in Flamingo's and progressed into management and revamped the club into Hollywood Nights. It was the social club for U2, and the likes of Bros, Imagination, Kylie & Jason, Bronski Beat, Odyssey " Going back to my roots" all gigged there for me. 2,000 nightly dancers attended Hollywood Nights to DJ Wicked's crazy hot mixes and rapping. Your a maniac originally came from DJ Wicked, ( Sorry Marc McCabe) and the Q started from 8.00pm nightly. Dixon and his team of doormen walked the lines and shouted have you got photo ID, if not you wont be coming in. The false Id's introduced us to The Hollywood Nights membership cards and our Birthday Club Nights. Hollywood Nights has to be one of my big achievements in my life and certainly without a doubt sent out a challenge to every other club in it's day and indeed for today’s clubs to match. Hollywood nights was well up there and is still one to beat. My company TFW was born, The Final Word. This introduced my gigs at the RDS, 7,000 dancers nightly with 20 DJ's, I should write a book HA! HA! GREAT DAYS.
