Shaggy Has a New Album Out

Shaggy’s new album is full of his signature vocals, this is a fun listening album, with smart lyrics, and usual humor, the album also features the track which has recently been released called ‘Bonafide Girl’. There are a few club bangers on the album ‘ Mad Mad World’ featuring Collie Buddz and Sizzla and What’s Love featuring Akon . On this album Shaggy has slightly stepped away from the Raggae pop artist as he is famously known as, and has aimed to concentrate on Raggae, a good effort, would be recommended for those who are Shaggy fans or enjoy fun listening with a true Reggae twist.

TREY SONGZ

Trey Songz is the don of slow jamz (DSJ), if you didn’t know you do now. Trey’s second album is called Trey Day and his day has definitely arrived. The 24 year old from Petersburg, Virginia has produced or written hit tracks for Kevin Lyttle and Obie Trice and is also the cousin of Chris Brown.Trey matches Usher’s smooth vocals and R Kelly’s producer skills which makes a combination for an artist with resilience. It spells a worthy candidate for DSJ. The songs all have a similar feel, which makes it hard to distinguish where one song stops and another begins. Some may claim this makes a bad, boring album, however it makes a great game or a listen, which ever takes your fancy. Take the CD, press random and enjoy the selections. It might start of with “Sex for yo stereo” and will get anyone in the mood especially cold hearts that have frozen this winter, followed by “ We should be” is a track for all of those cute couples who are falling in love and are just having a great time. Then concluded with “No clothes on”……..use your imagination. This is a must have CD for the New Year!

BOW WOW SICK

Rapper Bow Wow was rushed to the hospital recently following a performance in a US concert.The 20-year-old star was suffering from "a combination of exhaustion and stress" but is expected to make a full recovery.Bow Wow, who is currently on tour with Chris Brown and Sean Kingston, was forced to cancel the rest of his performing commitments until further notice. Brown and Kingston went ahead with their performances. A representative for Bow Wow's record label Sony has promised disappointed fans the rapper "will be sure to come back to Chicago soon". 50 in Euro Trouble

Uh oh looks like 50 may have landed himself in trouble with European authorities.The rapper has allegedly been caught up in a drug scandal in Croatia after a local reporter unexpectedly walked in on the rapper and a member of his entourage apparently snorting cocaine. The backstage footage, taken before 50's recent show in Zagreb, was broadcast live to a Croatian channel's news show.The local reporter was supposed to wait outside the rapper's dressing room for a planned interview, but he misunderstood and that’s’ when the rapper was caught in the act. Well that’s some footage we’d all like to see.

RnB Hip Hop News USA CHARTS

Alicia Keys grabbed control of Billboard's Hot RnB/Hip-Hop chart 9 weeks ago and hasn't let go since. Her smash single "No One" reigns supreme on the chart again this week (for the 9th week in a row) as well as holding onto the #1 slot on the Hot 100 chart for the 3rd week in a row.

Meanwhile, her song "Like You'll Never See Me Again," also from her recent album As I Am, is the greatest airplay gainer of the week. It jumped from #29 to #19 on the Hot 100 and from #9 to #3 on the RnB/Hip-Hop charts. It is possible that next week we will see Alicia Keys' "Like You'll Never See Me Again" replace her "No One" for #1 on the RnB/Hip-Hop chart.

Currently, the strongest challengers for the Hot 100 throne are Timbaland and OneRepublic with "Apologize" and Flo Rida plus T-Pain with "Low."
