Trey Songz is the don of slow jamz (DSJ), if you didn’t know you do now. Trey’s second album is called Trey Day and his day has definitely arrived. The 24 year old from Petersburg, Virginia has produced or written hit tracks for Kevin Lyttle and Obie Trice and is also the cousin of Chris Brown.Trey matches Usher’s smooth vocals and R Kelly’s producer skills which makes a combination for an artist with resilience. It spells a worthy candidate for DSJ. The songs all have a similar feel, which makes it hard to distinguish where one song stops and another begins. Some may claim this makes a bad, boring album, however it makes a great game or a listen, which ever takes your fancy. Take the CD, press random and enjoy the selections. It might start of with “Sex for yo stereo” and will get anyone in the mood especially cold hearts that have frozen this winter, followed by “ We should be” is a track for all of those cute couples who are falling in love and are just having a great time. Then concluded with “No clothes on”……..use your imagination. This is a must have CD for the New Year!
